The Problem
Buen Vecino, a new affordable senior living community in Kissimmee for adults 62 and older, needed its entire low-voltage backbone built from scratch. Multiple residential buildings had to be networked together, security cameras had to cover the property for resident safety, and it all had to live in one organized equipment room instead of a tangle of loose cable.
What We Did
- Ran a multimode fiber backbone linking the buildings, terminated in LGX cassettes and splice enclosures for clean, reliable building-to-building connections.
- Built a central network core in a wall-mounted Tripp-Lite SmartRack: a UniFi UDM SE gateway, USW Pro switches, and labeled patch panels for data, TV, voice, and cameras, all backed by a CyberPower UPS.
- Installed a UniFi Protect camera system with weatherproof PTZ cameras covering entrances, parking, and building exteriors, recording to a UniFi Enterprise NVR.
- Pulled and terminated all structured cabling to code, labeled every run and port, and dressed the rack so any technician can trace a connection in seconds.
The Result
Buen Vecino opened with one organized network core, fiber tying every building together, whole-property camera coverage staff can pull up from a phone, and a fully labeled, documented system built to support residents and grow with the community.
