A Sonos installer who is actually near you
Most people who call us have already bought a Sonos speaker or two and hit the point where it stops being a plug-in job. Wire has to come out of a wall, an amp has to drive speakers that were installed by someone else a decade ago, or the patio needs a run that can survive salt air. That is the work, and we do it every week out of Palm Bay.
We are a Sonos dealer, which gets you two useful things. The architectural and installer product line, meaning the in-ceiling, in-wall and outdoor speakers that are not sold at retail. And gear that we supply, register and stand behind, so there is one company to call rather than a receipt from a website.
What it does not mean is that we will sell you more of it than the house needs. The most common quote we write is one amp on speakers somebody already owns.
The three jobs people call us for
Almost everything we install is one of these, or grows out of one.
Sonos on speakers you already have. If there is already speaker wire in the walls, a Sonos Amp turns what you own into real multi-room audio with app control and streaming, for a fraction of what new speakers cost. Plenty of houses built in the last twenty years have wire in them that nobody has used since the previous owner left. We check before quoting anything else.
In-ceiling speakers in a house that is already built. This is a wire problem more than a speaker problem. We look at attic access, joist direction and where the ductwork runs before we tell you what a room costs, because the path decides the price. A single-story Brevard house with a walkable attic is straightforward. Two-story is a different conversation and we will have it honestly.
Outdoor audio that lasts. Covered below, because in this climate it deserves its own answer.
Sonos Amp
Drives passive speakers you already own and pulls them into Sonos. If there is already wire in your walls, start here. It is the cheapest good answer in whole-home audio.
In-ceiling and in-wall speakers
The architectural line, installed flush with a proper back box so the bass has something to work against. Placement gets planned around joists and ductwork before anything is cut.
Outdoor and landscape speakers
Weatherproof speakers for the lanai, pool deck and outdoor kitchen, specified for salt air and UV rather than just rain, with buried wire where the run needs it.
Arc, Era and Sub
Soundbars, stereo and spatial audio speakers, and wireless subwoofers. The room decides which of these makes sense, and often the answer is fewer than you would expect.
Outdoor audio, specified for the coast
Outdoor speakers here don’t fail because of rain. They fail because of salt air and UV, and the part that goes first is usually the connection rather than the speaker. A beachside install in Indialantic or Satellite Beach gets different hardware from one in Viera, and anyone who quotes you the same package for both has not looked.
We run the lanai, the pool deck, the outdoor kitchen and landscape speakers out into the yard, with wire buried where the run needs it and every connection weatherproofed rather than just the speaker itself. Outdoor zones group with the indoor ones or run their own source and volume, which matters when the party is outside and somebody is sleeping inside.
If the TV is going out there too, that is the same trip: outdoor TV mounting and audio are usually one job and one set of wire runs.
What it costs
Rough shape, before anyone has looked at your house. The variable that moves the number is almost always wire, not speakers.
- Sonos Amp on existing speakers. Low four figures including the amp. Half a day.
- One room, new in-ceiling pair. Wire pulled, speakers installed and tuned. Depends almost entirely on attic access.
- Lanai or pool deck. Two to four weatherproof speakers, an amp and a buried run.
- Whole house, six to eight zones with outdoor. Five figures, driven by the number of wire paths and whether the walls are open.
New construction is the cheapest time to do any of this by a wide margin, because wire runs before drywall and there is nothing to patch. If you are building, see what we rough in and when.
The design visit is free and you leave it with a real number. If the answer is one amp rather than a house full of speakers, we will say so.

Questions we get asked
Can you add Sonos to speakers I already have?
Usually, and it is the single most common job we do. A Sonos Amp drives passive speakers you already own, so existing in-ceiling, bookshelf or outdoor speakers become full Sonos zones with app control and streaming. If you already have speaker wire in the walls, this is by far the cheapest route to whole-home audio and we will point you at it before we quote new speakers.
What does a whole-home audio system cost?
A Sonos Amp added to speakers you already own is the low end and it is a half-day job. A pair of in-ceiling speakers in one room with new wire pulled through the attic is a little more. A full house with six or eight zones, outdoor coverage and a rack runs into five figures. Wire is the real cost driver, not the speakers, so an open-plan house with attic access is much cheaper than a two-story with no path.
What does being a Sonos dealer actually get me?
Access to the architectural and installer product line, which is not sold at retail, and gear that we register and stand behind. It does not mean we will talk you into more of it. If a soundbar and one Amp is the right answer for your house, that is what we will quote.
Do you install in-ceiling speakers in an existing house, or only new construction?
Both. New construction is easier and cheaper because wire runs before drywall with nothing to patch. In an existing home we route through the attic or an interior wall, and we look at that path before quoting rather than after. Single-story houses in Brevard are usually straightforward. Two-story and slab construction takes more thought and sometimes the honest answer is a different speaker placement than the one you had in mind.
Will outdoor speakers survive being outdoors here?
The ones we install will. Salt air and UV are what actually kill outdoor speakers on the Space Coast, not rain, so we spec for coastal exposure and weatherproof every connection rather than just the speaker. Beachside installs get more attention on this than inland ones.
Do I need better Wi-Fi for this to work?
Sometimes, and we would rather tell you upfront than have you blame the speakers. Sonos streams over your network, so a system that drops out is usually a network problem. We run managed IT for businesses across Brevard, so if the network needs work we will say so and quote it separately instead of installing on top of something that will not hold.
Can it work with the rest of the house?
Yes. Sonos handles Alexa, Google Assistant and AirPlay 2 natively. For one control surface across audio, lighting, shades and TV we are an AVA dealer, and we work with Control4 and Savant systems already installed in a house.
